Jasmine Sim
Jasmine is currently majoring in cello under the tutelage of Zhao Yu Er at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). She had studied with Lee Khiok Hua and attained her ABRSM Grade 8 in Cello within 4 years. She later studied with Zhang Tong and made her debut with the kids’ philharmonic@sg Orchestra in 2014.

Since 2009, she has been active in Singapore’s music scene. She has performed in ensembles such as the Singapore Youth Chinese Orchestra, The Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO), Orchestra of the Music Makers (OMM) and Musicbox. During her term as committee member of the Temasek Polytechnic Chinese Orchestra, she was awarded the CCA Merit award in both ARTS and LEADERSHIP in 2012.

Apart from performing classical music, she has also performed in an Indian musical as part of the Indian Arts Festival “Kalaa Utsavam 2014”.

As a music educator, Jasmine is a part-time cello instructor of kids’ philharmonic@sg.
